Negative taken of men loading watermelons from horse drawn wagons onto a railroad car in Deaneville near Prescoot, Nevada County, Arkansas. The railroad car reads T & B V, Trinity and Brazos Valley, 4002. In 1902, the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railway Company was first chartered to construct a railroad from some point in Johnson County, Texas in a southeastern direction to the Beaumont area in Texas. On August 1, 1905, the Colorado and Southern Railway bought the Trinity and Brazos Valley in order to expand into Texas. The company was reorganized as the Burlington-Rock Island Railroad Company in 1930. Although the Trinity and Brazos Valley called itself the Valley Road, the company was commonly known as the Boll Weevil.
